چکیده

Introduction: The large defects resulting from head and neck tumour surgeries present a reconstructive challenge to surgeons. Although numerous methods can be used, they all have their own limitations. In this paper, we our experience with cervicofacial/cervicothoracic rotation flaps help expand the awareness application of flap. Case report: patient who underwent repair flap in department has been presented clinical factors were recorded. Discusion: Cheek neoplasms are most common indication for flaps, followed by parotid tumours. . Defects measuring 6 cm × 7 1 reconstructed cervicothoracic case acceptable result. Conclusions: Cervicofacial/cervicothoracic provide technically simple, reliable, safe, efficient cosmetic means reconstruct

In this paper, we present our experience with cervicofacial and cervicothoracic rotation flaps to help expand the awareness and application of this useful system of flaps. Buried free flaps in head and neck surgery: outcome analysis.

BACKGROUND Over the last several decades, reconstruction of the head and neck oncologic defect has been revolutionized by the use of microvascular free tissue transfer. The majority of these defects can be reconstructed with the ability to visually monitor the flap, to intervene as soon as vascular compromise becomes evident. Occasionally, it is necessary to use a flap that has no visual extern...

Deep plane cervicofacial flap: a useful and versatile technique in head and neck surgery.

BACKGROUND Large oncosurgical defects of the cheek present a challenging reconstructive problem, especially when skin resections are combined with other procedures such as parotidectomy and/or neck dissection. METHODS We present our experience with the deep plane cervicofacial flap (DPCFF) for reconstructing zone 1 (n=7), zone 2 (n=6), and zone 3 (n=5) cheek defects resulting from excision of...

Modified Approach to the Cervicofacial Rotation Flap in Head and Neck Reconstruction

Objectives: Large cutaneous defects of the cheek and external ear present a reconstructive challenge. While free tissue transfer has been increasingly used for such defects, many patients with these malignancies are poor candidates for lengthy reconstructive surgery. The cervicofacial and cervicothoracic advancement flaps have been previously described as a simple method for reconstructing defe...

Head and neck hemangiopericytoma in a child: case report.

CONTEXT Hemangiopericytoma is a relatively rare tumor, first described in 1942, with approximately 300 cases described in the literature to date. In most cases, it affects the trunk and lower extremities. The head and neck incidence is less than 20%, mostly in adults. We describe a case of malignant head and neck hemangiopericytoma in a child.
